SustainableWorks is a non-profit energy efficiency program and general contractor funded through the State of Washington. SustainableWorks’ mission is to help Washington residents save energy and reduce their carbon footprint while creating quality jobs. SustainableWorks is designed to remove barriers that keep homeowners from making their homes more energy efficient. This includes providing a home energy assessment that usually costs from $400 to $600 for the subsidized cost of $95. If a homeowner chooses to improve their home for energy efficiency, SustainableWorks will also provide access to low-interest financing, coordinate utility incentives, and serve as the general contractor for the project.
This spring, SustainableWorks is kicking off their program in Tacoma with support from the City. As part of this program, SustainableWorks is collaborating with faith-based organizations, education, labor, non-profit organizations, and neighborhoods to create awareness of our energy efficiency services and get people involved.
