Every month people who work in the environmental field or have an interest in it meet up at informal sessions known as Green Drinks.
We have a lively mixture of people from NGOs, academia, government and local business. Come along and you'll be made welcome. We will look after you and introduce you to whoever is there. It's a great way of catching up with people you know and also for making new contacts. Everyone invites someone else along, so there’s always a different crowd, making Green Drinks an organic, self-organising network.
These events are very simple and unstructured, but many people have found employment, made friends, developed new ideas, done deals and had moments of serendipity.
Loggerheads pub, at the top of Dogpole in Shrewsbury is a great example of one of the oldest pubs in town - lots of wonky walls, beams, snugs, friendly service and of course a fantastic range of real ales. As ever, look out for the Green Drinks sign on one of the tables.

One last change is to the timing of the get togethers. To allow those who work in Shrewsbury but live away to join in with the events, we're now starting earlier in the evening (6.00) so people can come straight from work. Of course we'll be rolling on all night so those who want to get some food before coming out can still come along too. The talks will be at 7.30, so both early and late comers should be able to attend.
