Hello Vancouver Green Drinkers and friends,
As promised, we are switching up locations in the County each month to invite more participation. This month our networking gathering is:
Tuesday, May 14
Burgerville Salmon Creek
13301 NE Hwy 99, Vancouver
While you are encouraged to arrive about 5 PM to put in your order for food and libations (Burgerville serves beer and wine at this location), our featured speaker at 5:30 will be a representative from Columbia Riverkeeper talking about the challenges and status of the Hanford contamination clean-up. "Columbia Riverkeeper's mission is to protect and restore the water quality of the Columbia River and all life connected to it, from the headwaters to the Pacific Ocean."
As usual, we'll all introduce ourselves and have a chance to connect and re-connect with friends and colleagues old and new!
You might also want to check out the next film in this series:
Tuesday, May 28, from 6-9 PM: PLAY AGAIN: what are the consequences of a childhood removed from nature? The film and pizza are both free; however, a $5 donation is welcomed. For more information on their Third Annual Food & Film Series, see www.VancouverWatersheds.org.
And always consider joining Clark Green Neighbors!
Enjoy the sunshine!
Jill and Dave

One of 14 cities in Washington and 663 worldwide, Vancouver Green Drinks (VGD) is a no-host and loosely structured monthly gathering to network with friends and colleagues who share an interest in environmental and social issues. The group meets on the 2nd Tuesday of every month at 5 PM at different venues. (For those of you who’ve been joining us for years now, please note the new day/time.) We send out just two emails every month, one to announce where to meet and who will be giving a brief presentation on a topic of local interest, and another short reminder early in the month. For information as it is available, see our website.
Please forward this message to whomever you feel might be interested.
We hope to see you on a Second Tuesday!
