Green Bio: VA Beach Green Drinks was the first in Hampton Roads started in 2007. Meetings are held in a certified Virginia Green restaurant, CROC'S striving as an eco-bistro experience! Croc's was the first restaurant certified in the Commonwealth of Virginia's volunteer program for the hospitality industry http://www.deq.virginia.gov/p2/virginiagreen/restaurants.html. Core activities include glass and grease recycling, eliminating Styrofoam, water conservation and energy efficiency. Other voluntary efforts at Croc's include Green Events and Parties, linens and china in lieu of disposables, interface floor carpet tiles, eco-friendly dance floor, Green bathrooms, bike racks. Sustainable, Organic and Local (S.O.L.) food, wine & drink options with seafood from VA Aquarium's Sensible Seafood list (a partner of Monterey Bay Aquarium's Seafood Watch).
