Greetings from Green Drinks Houston

Green Drinks Houston has cancelled the August 2011 mixer due to the extreme temperatures our area has been experiencing for a number of weeks.  With the current trend of temperatures well over 100 and "feels like" temperatures ranging as high as 112, it is very difficult for most to remain out in these very unhealthy temperatures any longer than necessary.  Since Houston is such a large city, many people have to drive out of their way to attend a Green Drinks meeting.  The extra time in rush hour traffic may be taxing not only their automobiles but also their own stamina.  Many vehicle air conditioners are not able to handle these extreme temperatures and we are hearing from our attendees that this current depressing weather pattern is becoming a hardship.

Hopefully, cooler weather will be coming soon...although the severe drought is now being projected to last into the fall.
