Wow that third Wednesday of the month just snuck up on me this time! Apologies for the late reminder, but Green Drinks Thunder Bay will meet this Wednesday May 18 at The Madhouse, Bay Street at Algoma, 5 to 7 p.m. Green Drinks chapters are now active in over 700 cities worldwide! Locally, we are an informal gathering of those with an interest in all things environmental. This week, we are taking wagers on how long it will take for the federal government to put the eco-Energy for Houses program back in place! But while we are waiting, you may be interested in some of these upcoming events:
· Wednesday, May 25 -- Environmental Film Network presents “Into Eternity” a documentary on nuclear waste issues and the world’s first permanent deep storage complex in Finland. See it at the Lakehead University Centre Theatre UC1017 at 7:30 p.m. Follow the green arrows…donations are appreciated. Contact Deanna at 475-3631.
· Saturday, May 28 -- Wildflower Plant Sale at EcoSuperior, 562 Red River Road at Hill Street. Pick up some native plant species (collected from our demonstration gardens at Central Natural Environment Gardens) to add colour and interest to your backyard landscape. A fundraiser for our demonstration house!
· Saturdays throughout May & June – EcoSuperior is now open Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Drop by to pick up your rain barrel (in stock now!) or a gift basket, recycling bags, organic veggie & herb seeds…

· Saturday June 12 – Bike Rodeo, 10 am to 2 pm at the Lakehead University Fieldhouse, hosted by Safe Cycling Thunder Bay .
