Thirsty for Green connections?

  Come to   Keene Green Drinks

DATE & TIME

 Monday, May 7

5:30–7:30 p.m.

LOCATION

Fireworks Restaurant, 22 Main St., Keene

Topic of the Night:  MERI: “Barn Raising” for Renewable Energy & Weatherization

Ever been to a barn raising?  Join Bev Edwards to learn about the Monadnock Energy Resources Initiative (MERI), helping the residents of southwest NH build energy independence, security and sustainability, and how MERI uses the “barn raising” model to weatherize and put solar water heaters on local homes.  MERI’s initiative includes education, community-building, hands-on, cost-effective and affordable renewable energy and home weatherization work.

Come meet up with a local gathering of people interested in networking and learning more about “green” happenings, including green business, architecture, design, homes, local food, clean energy and other topics. Enjoy an informal, unstructured time to network with other community members around green topics, develop some new ideas, and meet some new folks. Bring a friend or two and help support a local business by buying ‘em a few green drinks (folks are responsible for their own bar tabs).

COME MAKE A GREEN CONNECTION!

Keene Green Drinks will be held the first Monday of each month.

Hosted by the Monadnock Sustainability Network, committed to encouraging sustainable living practices and resource conservation in the region through direct advocacy, education and outreach.
