It’s May and we are all looking forward to getting outside and enjoying our four rivers. Come to Green Drinks, on May 9, and kick off the season with a closer look at a couple of upcoming celebrations that will inspire you to get out to the Rock, Sugar, Kishwaukee and Pecatonica Rivers more than once this summer. Photos, nature readings and information on river happenings and guided expeditions will get you ready to paddle, fish and explore our beautiful waterways. Find out how you can participate in Love Your River Day and A River Gathering, both taking place here in June 2013.

Green Drinks Rockford is a fun networking event for environmentally minded people. This monthly series, hosted by The Green Communities Coalition, enables participants to share new ideas, develop inspired solutions, join the discussion, learn about opportunities to work for change and make a difference... whatever you want it to be. So, join us for a drink and meet and network with like-minded individuals who share your interest in building a sustainable society and planet. It’s a great way of catching up with people you know and also for making new contacts.
These events are very simple and unstructured, but the format will include a cash bar, a short informative presentation, speed announcements and networking.
Please feel free to share what you are doing with your "Green" business or organization. Bring brochures, hand-outs, business cards, newsletters, etc.... for our information table.
