Exmouth Green Drinks

When?  The FIRST THURSDAY of the month - from about 7:30pm onwards:

Next Exmouth Green Drinks: Thursday 11th January & Thursday 1st February 2018

And, there will be an extra Green Drinks night to hear about EDDC's 'Wild Exmouth' project on Thursday 11th January.
Starting at 7.30pm as usual, Tim Dafforn will tell us about his Heritage Lottery bid for funds for a 'Wild Exmouth' project involving Exmouth people.

The very informal social event starts at about 20:00 but is often preceded at 7:30 by a 29 Minutes session (arranged by Transition Exmouth - check here) in which someone leads a short presentation / discussion. We're usually at the back left of the pub - look for the green table ornament...

29 Minutes session for February: Dr Oliver Dowden, who is promoting the random selection of citizens for public office (Sortition). The origins of this system go back to ancient Greece and it is still practiced for jury selection in common law systems. Just imagine our MP being directly answerable to us voters rather than to his party! Should be a fascinating half-hour to which TE is thinking of inviting local politicians. More info here:

Where?  Exmouth Green Drinks is held at The Park, 114 Exeter Rd, Exmouth, EX8 1QH

Who can come? Exmouth Green Drinks are open to anyone who wants to socialise with other environmentally aware people. Come down for the whole night or just one drink - it's all very friendly and informal :-)  Oh, we are NOT affiliated with the Green Party...
