Ever Greendrinks in Evergreen, Colorado is an eco-get together for people in the foothills and mountain communities who are involved with green and sustainable work, issues and solutions to network, socialize, learn, share and have fun!
Our first scheduled event of 2010 is:
An Evening with Jon Turk, author of "The Raven's Gift"
Wednesday February 17th at 7pm.
Evergreen Public Library
Jon Turk was trained as a scientist and has spent many years exploring the world on various expeditions. Along his journeys through the Siberian wilderness he met a Shaman woman of the Koryat people named Moolynaut and has now written a book about traversing the Siberian wilderness with her and what he has learned from her natural indigenous wisdom. The book was recently released on January 19th, 2010.
This event is offered in conjunction with E.A.S.-Y (Evergreen's Alliance for Sustainability - You make it EASY!).
This spring & summer we will be offering more classes by Master Composter Megan Mitchell! The class itself is free of charge but 'composting starter kits' including bin, worms and more will be available for a fee of $10 per bin. For more information contact Elicia ( elicia@evstudio.us) or Megan ( megannmitchell@msn.com).
We are really looking forward to the year ahead and hope to see you all at one of these exciting events coming up! We have members from Bailey to Morrison to the Frasier Valley and beyond! Please bring your friends (or make new ones!) and join us in building a stronger community and world!
