Hello, welcome to 2012. We are retinking the program as people have requested more invovled events and a large participation. We welcome suggestions about how to achieve that. We know that a lot of people remain interested in connecting with teh broader enviro community, and will value feedback and suggestions for future events. Thanks for your suppport, and we look forward to building our community. Read on for more details ...

WHEN? Nominate an event and we will be happy to support it

- Events generally 3rd Wednesday, ie 15-21st, every second month (from February). Plus Special Events.

WHERE? Nominate an event (we are looking at tagging on to a trivai night somewhere)

HOW MUCH? Free, just turn up and ask for the greendrinkers.

- Purchase your own drinks, some food may be provided, and we will look to go to dinner afterwards

WHO? Anyone involved in the environment and related fields.

Sponsor and Prizes

A 'door' prize and raffles will (often) be run and all proceeds will go to a nominated charity. Thanks to the various generous sponsors during the years. Donations of prizes welcomed (please discuss with Scott).

We are able to promote worthwhile environmentally aware businesses, perhaps even hold an event at your premises.

The raffles often support Fig Tree Community Garden, http://www.figtree.org.au (or nominated alternative). Fig Tree Community Gardens, is locate in Albert Street, Wickham (enter via the Wickham Croation Sports Club). It's a great venue to hang out, do some gardening, play giant chess, practice lawn bowl (free if you ask nicely) or just want to smell the flowers (many varieties).

About the organisers

Greendrinks in Newcastle is run by a small team of volunteers (Scott and now Toby, hi). The organisers support the greendrinks concept of providing an opportunity to meet people and interact socially. We have many interesting conversations, and we encourage you to mix in. Greendrinks internationally is supported by people who think that thinking is important.
